Blue Kettle Specialty Foods is a homegrown success story that started with two sisters, a case of tomatoes, and a love for cooking. Marcy was the one with the tomatoes and was inspired to make a gourmet salsa. After the last tomato was peeled and diced she decided to package it up and give it away to friends and family. Marcy received many compliments on how delicious the salsa was and it was suggested that she produce it to sell.

The Blue Kettle line debuted at the indoor farmer’s market in St.Albert in the spring of 2000. The line has grown to 15 products ranging from delicious dressings to chocolate indulgence. Marcy and Carol built their own production facility in St. Albert in 2007, which has allowed them to expand on their current product line and meet the growing demands of the market, including gluten free, low sodium, and sugar free products.
